[2014.01.22] The 5th International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN) will take place end of October, in Korea (Abstract submission April 1st, 2014).
[2013.01.31] The 4th International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN) will take place end of October 2013 at the University of Franche-Comte, Montbeliard-Belfort, France.

[2011.01.31] Journal of Location-Based Services: Special Issue on Indoor Positioning and Navigation.
The authors of the best papers accepted for presentation at IPIN 2011 will be invited to submit an extended version of their work to be published in the Journal of Location-Based Services. These papers will be reviewed by the journal's editorial team, and accepted manuscripts will be published in the Special Issue.
[2011.01.31] IPIN'2011, with the support of CCG, is pleased to announce that they are offering several grants to PhD students to attend IPIN'2011.
[2011.01.17] The New York Times published an article about the "The 41 Places to Go in 2011". Guimarães, "A city of youth is fired up by its art scene", is one of the places recommended by the remarkable The New York Times! This is one more good reason to participate in IPIN'2011!

IPIN'2011 conference will take place in Guimarães, Portugal, and will have the motto "Collaborative Positioning and Navigation". It will succeed the first IPIN that took place at ETH Zurich and was the largest meeting dedicated entirely to Indoor Positioning and Navigation with 445 participants from 47 countries.

Guimarães is one of Portugal's UNESCO World Heritage cities recognized by its beauty and historical monuments.

The conference will take place at the Vila Flor Cultural Centre. This Cultural Centre was inaugurated in September, 2005, and incorporates the 18th century Vila Flor Palace, with its magnificent gardens and charming architecture, and a new design building added on to hold all types of cultural events.
